48 hours loophole

Last Saturday I fell down the stairs, I thought that I would heal up so I treated the injury myself. I still have evidence of bruising. After a week of resting the pain is not easing so I called Netcare ONLY to be told that I had to report the accident in 48 hours. This I did not know. So they refuse to assist me. Firstly I thought it would heal and I am not a doctor. Second I was honest in my reporting of the injury and date. I honestly thought it would heal only now to find a loophole in the policy. I feel that this is not a fair practice. I will make this my lifelong endeavor, post my experience on social media, and spread the word. And lay a complaint with Ombudsman. This is now my life mission
