27hrs without food

My wife had her gallbladder removed yesterday so she had her last meal yesterday morning at 5am. Her procedure was completed shortly after 5pm. My wife was not given any food yesterday evening. She was woken at 4am to go bath by the night staff and she told them that she is starving and they kept assuring her the food would be there shortly. At 8am the day staff came in and when my wife told them she had not eaten for 27hrs, they were highly shocked that my wife had not received food late last night or at least had an early breakfast organised for her.<br> I find this highly disgusting considering Kuils River Netcare is a private hospital who should have high standards of patient care...
