Great service, speeds as promised, quick resonse times

<p>For more than 5 years, I have had a 4Mbps Uncapped ADSL connection, with the ADSL line managed by Telkom, and the MWEB as my ISP. Per month, I have been paying MWEB and Telkom in the region of R1200 per month consistently. In the 5+ years I have been with MWEB, they continued to charge me exactly the same amount for my 4Mbps uncapped package, despite the fact that they began throttling users in 2013, even though they initially advertised their product with statements such as we will never cap or throttle you, EVER.</p> <p>But this review isn't about MWEB. I would however encourage you to read my posts on a forum on MyBroadband website about my experiences with MWEB:</p> <p>https://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php/555327-MWEB-Abuse-Notices-Complaint/page14</p> <p>After many years of terrible service from Telkom, logging service faults that took 3+ weeks before someone from Telkom even phoned me about the fault, as well as 5+ years of being overcharged by MWEB, I decided I had to do something. Frankly the mobile signals from all the Mobile Service Providers where I live (Farrarmere, Benoni) are **********, but even if I did have decent LTE service, this wasn’t the type of package I was looking for (high cost).</p> <p> </p> <p>I had heard about Nepic previously so I decided to contact them because frankly I had nothing to lose. My experience with them has been nothing short of sublime. I wish I had contacted them long ago. Literally within a couple of days of contacting them, their techical guys where onsite to do a site inspection, which is neccessary and to your benefit to make sure they will be able to provide an acceptable service to your location. This inspectation takes a few minutes. Within a couple of hours, everything was installed and I was up and running and connected to the web.</p> <p> </p> <p>Since I signed up with Nepic (a few weeks ago), I have consistently been connected at the speed I signed up for - 6Mbps. Random results from Speedtest have averaged around 5.8-6Mbps DL and 0.6-1.2Mpbs UP, with ping speeds ranging from 14ms-70ms, typically about 30ms.</p> <p> </p> <p>To put that in perpective with my uncapped "Premium" MWEB 4Mbps service, random results from Speedtest averaged at best 3Mbps DL and 0.1-0.5Mpbs UP, and ping speeds ranging from 40ms-565ms, typically averaging about 60ms.</p>
