Warning: Caution when considering Neotel

You have been warned, if you read this and still sign up with them you knew what you were getting into.

If you are researching this company before signing up you are already on the right track and not just willing to throw money at them and allowing them to exist even if they don't care about you as a customer. We need to learn to vote with our wallets as that is the only language companies understand.

First I had issues with Neotel saying I am on a 36 month contract while never having disclosed this to me. After much back and forth they couldn't prove their misinformation and I said would like to cancel at the end of my 24th month which they agreed to. I then later decided to keep using them on a month to month basis, simple right? They assured me it's arranged, they won't cut me off and it will continue as normal...

Come the 30th Dec 2017 they cut me off at midnight. Called them to hear no one is working that can assist and they will reconnect me on the 2nd Jan 2017. Come the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th still no internet. Many calls back and forth, some clueless call centre agents and at least one person (Ravi, Rabi?) that has been trying to help me but has since also dissappointed me.

They have said it's their mistake and they will sort it out but yet it has not been done. Every time I speak to them they tell me how many charges are going to be on my account for reconnection, cancellation, this and that and that it will be credited yet I am not connected yet. This I know is another argument coming and I know they will mess it up badly as well. Terrible that a customer is expecting this.

Neotel's technicians rarely work. Not on weekends or public holidays and at 16:00 they are done for the day. I am sorry, does Neotel not offer a product/service that runs 24hrs a day??? How can they not have 24 hour technical support?

Best yet, for some reason top senior management has to sign off on me being connected. But wait for it.....he is on leave. How awesome is this big company that comes to a stand still when senior management is on leave, hahahaha that is pathetic.

So to recap I have done nothing wrong yet I'm being punished for it. Never skipped a payment yet being punished for it. What am I missing?

NEOTEL CAN DISCONNECT ME WITHOUT REASON AT MIDNIGHT BUT NOT RECONNECT ME MORE THAN A WEEK LATER???

I did not type this to get some generic response from Neotel. I do not want some lower or middle management person or supervisor to call me and anger me further. This is for the public to seriously reconsider Neotel as a service provider and unless they are your only option (another problem we have in SA, lack of choice) try find a company suited to your needs where you actually matter as a customer. I have used a lot of my time and energy to no gain. It has cost me quite a bit as well for airtime and data that I have to now use by hot spotting my phone. NONE of this matters to them as long as the monthly debit orders continue going off and they hold their customers hostage.

So again, proceed with caution, read through all the other reviews and then only make your decision to consider Neotel.
