Recurring debit orders on closed account
Despite numerous requests officially logged and promises made since March 2015, Neotel has failed to cancel the debit orders for a telephone line previously used by two pensioners who relocated in March 2015. The continuing incorrect debit orders have thus far caused the pensioners bank account to go into overdraft of approx.. R1.5k. In addition, a cash deposit made by the pensioners at the Midrand branch of approx. R800 has to date not been recorded against the account, and is MIA without a trace. The cumulative amount to date taken from the pensioners without justification amounts to approx. R2.3K, and the debit orders continue. It is disgraceful how Neotel is taking advantage of the already suffering elderly!
