Neotel's service

I work and live overseas. On the 30th December I arrived in South Africa aware that my aged mother had been experiencing problems with her internet connection. I contacted Neotel and had the first of many conversations with their operatives. During one of these conversations I was informed that the machine was faulty and needed to be returned to their premises in Midrand. As my mother is 87 years old and I am visiting this was not possible. On the third of January and as requested by them, I e-mailed the details of my mother's contract with them. This e-mail remains unacknowledged. However, after numerous telephone calls and many hours spent going over the same procedures attempting to re-set the machine - all to no avail- they agreed to replace the item. This was received on the 12th January. It was immediately evident that this was not a new machine . To make matters worse it too was faulty. Since then I have spent many more hours speaking with their operatives who are most unhelpful. Even a request to speak with the general manager was denied. During these telephone conversations I have on many occasions been reminded that the telephone conversations are recorded. Accordingly, I welcome their publication. Furthermore, I would welcome a relacement machine.

Dr Elmarie Brache PhD Les Islets Holdings Ltd Guernsey
