Neotel is messing my life up

I paid of my Neotel Account in August 2014. I received a letter stating my account is up to date. When I tried applying for a bond my credit record says it is still unpaid which affects my scoring. I phoned the call centre 2 months ago and they said it was paid up. I phoned again about 2 weeks ago this time I was told I owe R56 in interest? and then they will send me a paid up letter after I pay this amount? Neotel should of told me in August when I paid up. The call centre agent said they escalated this matter but it seems nothing has been done in 2 weeks! Neotel does not even send an update to the credit bureau in 8 months! I need this to be rectified as I feel cheated and going to approach the ombudsman.
