Incorrect installation and refund difficulty

Hi,

Since I work from home and have alot of online conferances, I needed UNLIMITED internet with high speed. Looking at all the options, I decided to go with NEOTEL LTE and signed the contract late November / early December last year. However, this was the biggest mistake I ever made.

Firstly, in December, most weekends we got cut off and had absolutely no internet at all. However, since it was just weekends, we thought its fine. However, in January, majority of the month we did NOT have any connection at all.

Neotel technicians came in to repair, and verified that there was a contrast of connections. They 'fixed' this, but after one day again we were left with no internet. We again complained, and this time in took 1 week for the technician to come. He verified that there were problems in installing the software (SREQ-***). Since the problem was from Neotel, we requested a refund. However, they claimed that they will only refund R206, and not the full R1400 for the two months. I find this very unfair. Yes, we did have connection some days, but most days we were left with no internet connection at all. And what about the inconveniences. Really disappointed with them.

Hello Honestguy,

So I've had guys from LastMileTech come and do an install with a large external antenna at my home on Saturday. Today I tried following up to get the LTE sim that is in the modem/router activated: After being sent around the whole day between departments, including having to cancel my order, and get a new order just so I can change the speed from 4mb to 8mb (this is a new line, so no service has been provided yet). I've now _finally_ gotten the technical department to acknowledge that there is an activation request, only for them to tell me that they have to send a technician out to my premises _again_.

This seems ridiculous to me, all the equipment is installed and set up (done my lastmiletech), so why does a technician have to come out again. Explain this to me?

This has now gone on for about 2 weeks, where I've had a back and forth between you guys, finally resorting to getting a larger antenna installed by lastmiletech. I maintain that it should not be needed for a technician to come out to my premises, and if this is indeed needed it is simply ridiculous...

Best regards,
