Incorrect billing

Neotel states in it's FAQ that if one of there wireless broadband clients moves to an area with no wireless coverage that the contract will need to be ended and that no terminatination/cancellation fee will be charged provided the clients equipment is returned and that the equipment is not damaged.

I moved to an area without coverage and the contract got cancelled. Neotel collected the equipment and cancelled the contract but charged me a cancellation fee and an additional month of rental.

I have contacted them via phone and via email at ********** More than a month ago their helpdesk responded stating that they will pass it on to the credit department and I will be contacted. This has not happened. I received an MS from Nudebt(nudebt.co.za) today stating that I have 96hours to pay the bill else it will affect my credit rating. I explained the situation to Nudebt on the phone and they stated they need a cancellation letter from Neotel.

Due to the fact that the relavent persons at Neotel are not reachable and never communicate this currently not resolvable.

This is an example of a company that is very helpful when adding a service but makes it impossible to end the service.

Another week has passed and Neotel has still not resolved this matter.
Another week has passed and Neotel has still not resolved this matter.
Neotel has still not resolved this matter, and it appears they will not. In this case I was charged a termination fee when I moved to an area that does not have coverage despite their FAQ stating this would not happen. Neotel and there debit order collection partner Nudebt continue to state that I need to pay the termination fee and that they have/will blacklist me if I don't.
Even though on principal I should not pay this, I now have paid it because unfortunately it is still more difficult, expensive, time consuming and dangerous for my credit record to try and stand up to this company's abusive practices.
Atleast two of my colleagues warned me of how they had been ********** by Neotel(They were incorrectly charged for SIP calls and data, the other was billed for months after cancelling). While I enquired and signed up for an account with Neotel they were always helpful. There after unfortunately I quickly realised that there client service is non existant.
Here is an example, when you phone Neotel you reach a helpdesk consultant, if you have a problem they cannot help you(Unless you need a new a service) instead you have to send an email to the consumers at neotel co za email address. When you have done that, you will eventually get an email from this department stating that they have passed on your query to another department and that the department will contact you. The other department never contacts you, and instead you are ignored, you can repeat this process but the outcome stays the same. You then log a complaint on Hellopeter, there representative sends a private message stating they will look into the problem, they ask you for the details you have already furbished on the site and elsewhere, they then ask you to send the picture/url to them via there Neotel facebook page(They don't state which one) that is already provided in the Hellopeter review/complaint as an attachment. You send them the URL on the Hellopeter website and once again, Neotel vanishes and you do not hear from them again. You do however know that they have not resolved the matter because the account statements they send still show the disputed charges and you still receive notifications from Nudebt stating that you need to pay the full disputed amount with interest within 72 or 96 hours or else. They send these SMS's to your cell, and to the number you provided as an additional contact when signing up with Neotel. If you phone the Nudebt contact number in the SMS they will just state they need a letter from Neotel stating the amount has been paid, they have no other knowledge of disputes, etc and frankly they do not care.
There are a number of companies with bad service but I can not think of any other company I have dealt with that is worse than Neotel.
Hopefully other persons will be spared the misfortune of becoming involved with this company.
