Extremely bad service all round from Neotel

I have had Neotel internet and voice service for about 3 years now. Initially the service was brilliant. But gradually, over the next year, the internet speed slowed down until I could not even open a Google home page. After much phoning and logging complaints ( 6 ref nos) a technician eventually came out to test the signal and a booster was set up. Back to good internet. But gradually the speed slowed down again over a period of time so that now it tests a max of 0.7mbs intermittently ( 2 mbs line). When you eventually get through to the call centre ( I tried three times in two days before I got through to someone) you are then put on hold and no one comes back. (going to test something) Yesterday afternoon I waited 35mins before cutting off. So what now? Go back to Telkom? It seems Neotel is not willing to sort this out, or even talk about it!

I was contacted by Neotel yesterday morning and informed that my router (or line) had been reset and that I was to re-connect again after 1 hour. I left it until this morning and did a number of speed tests over 60min. The best speed the connection achieved was 1.03 mbs with an average of 0.62mbs over a 60min period. I was originally sold a 2mbs line. I phoned in to Neotel on the number given to me by the technician yesterday and the call was answered by Caroline. After explaining what the call was about, she informed me that I do NOT have a 2mbs line, but a "best available line from 0.3mbs to 3mbs", and that this is "acceptable". Acceptable to who? What a load of rot! Who can operate with an internet speed of 0.3mbs? The best I have EVER tested since December 2015 was 1.6mbs and that was at 01H00 in the morning. The graph is also very erratic, it looks like a side view of the Himalayas. It is obvious neotel are not going to sort this out. Go back to Telkom? Maybe....
