Zero Customer Service

I am so disappointed in Nedbank Business services. I have never had to work so hard for a bank as a customer.

1. It took more than a month for the account to open.

2. I had to follow up twice and phone to get the account opened.

3. I was told I would receive the business registration certificate as part of a pack when I collect my card. This never happened.

4. I was told I would be assisted with setting up online banking, this has not happened.

5. I was told to download the app, which I have and have not been able to link the card because the app keeps giving me an error to say its not a personal account even though I have not selected personal account.

When I shared my frustrations and concerns with the banker she told me that I should have asked when I collected the card that I be set up on online banking. I was then told to come back into into the bank to setup the online banking as I would not be able to transact until this had been done. When I then asked for the account to be closed because I have not been able to transact and this has delayed my new business starting I was told to come back into the bank to cancel. Seriously, during a pandemic I am required to keep going into the bank? For reference in the time it took your banker to tell me to come back to the bank I had already opened a Standard Bank business account, with no need to enter in any bank. The account with Standard Bank took 1 day to be activated and I was then able to transact. Now I am getting threatening messages from Nedbank saying the account is overdrawn. I do not feel comfortable having to keep going into the bank during a pandemic. I want this account closed without further threatening messages. Your threatening department seems to be the most efficient and responsive department within your bank, too bad the banker isn't as efficient.
