Wow... Just wow!

I have been banking with FNB until now and have not had any problems. On 3 August I decided to open a Green Savings Bond (fixed deposit) with Nedbank as the interest rate seemed quite good. It is now more than a month later and the account has still not been opened! There has been one excuse after another. Despite me delivering my FICA documents weeks ago, there was no communication from the bank to say that the account had been verified. I spoke to one person after another at the call centre but nobody could help me. Eventually when I managed to speak to the person at the branch where I delivered the FICA documents, they said that there was a backlog in the FICA office. Then eventually she contacted me to say that the account has been closed as their system only keeps it open for one month. How is it my problem that they took so long to process the account! And now they tell me that I have to come into the branch to reopen the account! Why must I inconvenience myself when this is their problem?? They have all my documents and information so why can't they reopen the account without me coming in? There is no sense of customer service. Do they not want me to invest with them?
