Warning re Nedbank

This is a stern warning for those of you thinking about taking a loan from this bank .... I app**** for a home loan of R400000 , of which i paid back between R4000-R4800 pm ( inflation related ) , I have been paying back this loan for around 10 years . A. Few month back i did alittle math and worked out i had paid almost R700000 and STILL owed over R300000 of the loan . I enquired about this to Nedbank of which they seemed to justify this and were quite happy with my calculations . I was shocked , what they DONT tell you when taking a loan is that for the first 10 years or so , you ONLY pay the interest , this is done to maximize the profits they can make from schmucks like us , kinda like preying on the needy and desperate , this is what the Bank stands far and they are very comfortable with this .
