Very frustrating experience!

Last week I app**** for personal loan, which I am told cannot be processed as the payslips I provided don't show "all deductions and earnings". IThey shows perfectly clearly the amount earned, and I have tried to explain that as a consulting medical practitioner, rather that a salaried employee, there are no deductions. I pay for my own pension fund, and medical aid, and these are not deducted from my income.

I have been working at the same medical practice for the last 11 years, and it is plainly obvious from my bank statements what my income is, and that it is more than adequate to service this loan. I am told that according to my income, I should even be able to apply for a loan for at least 3 times what I'm requesting.

I have been a loyal account holder with Nedbank for almost 20 years, and I have a bond with them that is paid, without fail, every month.

It is frustrating, and quite frankly, insulting that I should be put through this, when my track record, and the documentation I have provided should speak for itself.

I work with a colleague who is in exactly the same situation I am, with the same documentation, and Standard bank approved an even greater loan within 2 days. Do I need to ask them, or will my own bank "make it happen"?
