Unsuccessful ATM transaction

Yesterday i used a Nedbank ATM in Chresta to withdrew money at the ATM, the ATM did not give me money but i see that my balance has reduced on my account. It give me an error that transaction cancelled. I called Nedbank on *** they telling me to go to a branch. i went to the branch they told me there is nothing they can do & i have lost 8000. i should contact my bank. my bank is 3000km from here & i dont have a number to call them
