Unsettled loan

I took a loan with nedbank and was also paying insurance for the loan. I then got retrenched in 2020, and submitted the documentation that I was no longer working. But till today this matter has not been settled and its affecting my credit score. What was the point of charging insurance fee if it can not assist when it comes to this. Am actually told that they pay for a year then afterwards I must pay myself
