On 19th July I received my SARS payout. I transferred half to my MMI account. The balance I used to pay various bills . On the 21st July I noticed a payment of almost R800 had been done overnight. I called the bank to query this. They informed me that the Credit card division had deducted this amount from my current account. To my utter shock the lady informed me that an amount of R5000 had also been debited from my MMI account!!! I immediately went to the Gezina branch and met with the bank manager who was very sympathetic and helpful. She made contact with the correct people and we agreed that a stop order would be activated on my current account and that credit of R5000 would be made. The bank was very quick in implementing the stop order, but I still have not received any credits. I have been in contact with Marcus from Gezina branch every two days and the poor man is tearing his hair out! Its constantly waiting for sign-off or something else. Last week they told Marcus that the credit would reflect in my account by 17th August. It is now the 18th and still nothing, even after he sent a mail to [Email Removed] that I would contact HelloPeter.
