Unfairly rejected

I am writing to formally raise a concern regarding my recent personal loan application, reference number ***.

I initially app**** for a loan online and was approved for an amount of R200,000. Following the approval, I signed a contract confirming my acceptance of a loan amount of R100,000 at an interest rate of prime + 3%.

As part of the standard process, I was requested to submit proof of employment. I comp**** with this request on 16 July and followed up again on 18 July, at which point I was advised to email my documents. I did so, including a payslip, and even visited the branch to ensure proper submission.

I was later informed by the Facebook support team that a letter of employment not a payslip was required. Following this clarification, I emailed the letter directly to Lindiwe Khumalo, who had personally contacted me to request it. She acknowledged receipt of the letter on 21 July.

To my shock, I received a rejection notice on 22 July without any explanation. I have since followed up with my assigned banker, who mentioned she would investigate the matter, but I have not received any feedback or resolution.

Given that I signed a legally binding agreement and provided all documents as requested, I am deeply concerned by the handling of my application. I believe this process has not been transparent or fair, and I do not accept the rejection as lawful or justified.

Accordingly, I am formally requesting the following:

A formal written explanation detailing the reasons for the rejection of my application after I had already signed the contract.

Copies of all documents and agreements that I signed online during the application process.

Clarification as to how a signed agreement can be disregarded without proper communication or justification.

Immediate steps to resolve this matter, including honouring the approved loan.

I believe I have acted in full compliance with all requirements and expect the bank to do the same. Please treat this matter with urgency and provide a written response within the next 2 business days.
