Unfair treatment
I requested 2 settlement letters from Nedbank on 26 May 2023 for my husband and I as we both had 2 separate loans owing the same amount. I paid R179 000 for him and another R179 000 for myself within 48 hours of receiving the settlement amount. Thereafter, I was told my account *** owes an additional R3000 hence they cannot close the account, yet my husband's account owes nothing and has been closed. I asked why and how am I owing and my husband isn't whereas we owed the same amount and the amounts were settled on the same day. I was told it's towards my insurance. Yesterday suddenly I was told I now owe R1060 for insurance, which I unfortunately paid. Later on today I got a call from Thembile Cele from a KZN branch who said I'm no longer owing R1060 I'm now only owing R242 and they will refund me the difference from yesterday's payment. All these incidents happened 11 days after paying my monthly installment on 15 May 2023. What insurance am I paying for after I've settled my loan?? Nedbank has not closed my account as a result and they say this means the normal monthly installment of R7000 will still go through tomorrow. I have been taken from pillar to post, branch to branch. Lwando Mkasakasa from another branch escalated the query to Azadhana Sewehik who has not been responding from yesterday. I'm very aggrieved. They should not deduct my money on the 15th. You can reach me on *** or ***
