Unfair listing

I had a loan with Nedbank and sadly lost my job in 2011 March and I couldn't pay my loan account and I notified the bank that I'm no longer working and then a lady working as a debt collector came to me in 2013 requesting an avadavit that I'm no longer working and I provided the document and now I'm still listed unfairly for being unemployed and not being able to pay the amount which has affected my job search. How can I get a job while they have listed me unfairly yet I gave them proof that I'm unemployed. There is nothing more that I would love to do than to settle all my account with them but they make it very hard for me as I'm struggling to get a job due to their unfair listing. This is unacceptable honestly and very frustrating.
