Unfair Lending Practices

I was employed by Nedbank and received a staff loan which I initially didn't qualify for under normal rates so a staff banker was allocated to me, then I received the loan under staff rates. When I was retrenched the loan was supposed to be converted back to normal rates which would have meant that it would have to be paid of through credit life insurance due to the fact that I didn't pass the affordability assessment under normal rates.

The claim was never processed and now I am being hounded by lawyers wanting me to pay a loan off instead of insurance paying the debt off. My credit record has been adversely affected.

The risk associated with the initial application that was declined was evident to the bank when I was granted the staff loan but now I have to suffer the consequences thereof.

I no longer have access to staff banking and branch staff can't help me.

This is unfair lending practices.
