Unfair & Discriminating behavior.

Just more than a month ago I app**** for an increase on my excisting personal loan, I was approved, but then rejected again. Me and my wife was blessed with 2 sets of twins within 4 years, which forced us to make several changes at home, in our vehicles, etc. and that had quite an increase in our expenses, therefor I need the increase in my loan to consolidate my current loan and my one credit card. I was approved for a increase, BUT I had a problem with the Credit Life Insurance they wanted to add to my installment, it was an amount of +/- R540. I already have policies in place, covering everything needed, EXCEPT retrenchment . My installment for that is also less than R540 per month. I have been working for almost 18 years for the same company, working myself up to manager and shareholder. Seeing that I am part business owner I CANNOT get retrenchment cover on my current policy, or at any other company doing similar policies. Nedbank however did not understand it and refused to accept this. So they let me know if I do not take their insurance policy, (Which I don't need and which I can't afford) they will not give me the increase needed. After several calls and discussions and after their own people working with the policies confirmed that I can't get retrenchment cover, (Which I was more than willing to take, if possible) I was told, I will not be granted the increase because I am a business owner. What sort of ************** nonsense is this ? I am now being penalized for hard work, for achieving something, for being in a financial disposition and for not giving into paying for something I don't need. They told me I can apply for the increase again in a month, but it will only be granted if I take the insurance, it is unacceptable and ********* ! There was a court case not long ago wherein a furniture chain was sued for the exact same thing, forcing people to take the insurance which they did not need and they had to pay back millions to their customers. I think I must go to the ombudsman with this and see if they can put a stop to this. I have been a loyal customer for years, I have an cheque account, I have an overdraft, I have an credit card, my vehicles are financed through MFC, what more must I do to get the service and help I deserve ? Will Nedbank be honest and fair and get back to me, approve my loan without this insurance and help me OR must I go knock at another Bank's door and move away ???
