Unauthorised Debit Order and delinement of refund
<p>I had a personal loan that i had an arrangement with SSD Associates of which i paid each month.I paid them on the 29th R300 as per arrangement. The following day i noticed that R3680 was debit on my current account with no authorisation given for this debit order. On the 1st i went into the branch of which i called the retail recovery cal centre and i was told i will be refunded as i am paying SSD Associates.I also called SSd assocated to confirm and they told me that they have recieved my R300 payment and i should ensure i continue paying as per agreement.I received an sms as well and a call on the 04th of August 2016 stating the following from the Retail Recovieries Dept.;"Dear Mr Kemp.NRR confirms an Inter-account Transfer done on 2016/07/19 from your current Account for R3680 towards your Personal Loan"</p> <p> </p> <p>Again i have not authorised any debit order against my account and i was told i will receive my refund on the 11th of August.I also received two call from SSD Associates requesting my email for a paid up letter of which i neva requested and insisted the account has been paid up.I cannot understand why they would request this knowingly i am still paying them.I called the retail recovery accounts department again today regarding my refund and i was told ny Varni the refund has been cancelled because i requested a paid up letter from SSD Associates.Whisky Tango Foxtrot!!!!</p> <p> </p> <p>1st of all why would i go into the branch to request a refund? secondly why would i call SSD Associates and request a paid up letter if i requested my money as well as paying them R300pm as per arrangement? This is unacceptable and i am going to make sure that the Ombudsman will hear about this unauthorised transactions that has taken place on my account and the way SSD associates ********ly go about their business practice.I demand my refund of R3680 as promised.I send this same email today to SSD Associates and are being told by Tsholedi Adolphas Moloi that i agreed to a settlement letter as they have a recording that i called in to request this which was not the case. This is so sly and caniving.I requested the recording but he can not provide it to me as he is not authorised to do so and has given me their recordingd department as they have a process as to how this takes place.WOW no i am a "****"</p> <p> </p> <p>Very disgruntled and angry customer.</p>

Good Morning Pamela,
I just received a call from Janice at the Retail Recovery Department.According to her the second refund that has been requested has also been declined.Reason being SSD Associates informed them that i called them requesting a Paid Up Letter.
Again i am going to disagree on this.I put emphasis on the fact that i never called them to request the Paid Up Letter, they called me after the fact that Nedbank debited my account for the said amount. The day i went into the St Georges Mall Branch Cape Town i was told that Nedbank debited my account and the R300 payment was received by SSD Associates for the payment arrangement / agreement.
After this i received two calls from SSD Associates on Wednesday and Thursday last week requesting my email address for a Paid Up Letter to be send as according to them my account has been paid up."I never called SSD Associates they called me" I am very disgusted now for the mere fact that now im being told its because i contacted them which was never the case whilst i went to the branch to query this unauthorised debit order and requesting a refund after i made payment to SSD Associates on the 29th of July 2016.So what im taking from this enquiry as to the debit order is that SSD Associates found out that my account was debited from Nedbank after i called in from the branch and then requested a paid up letter from Nedbank. When i spoke to a consultant at the Retail Recovery Department i was told that SSD Associates requested a paid up letter from them on my behalf.I did not even receive a paid up letter( if i did request it ) and after the two consultants called me from SSD Associates.
This is ********* business practice from both Nedbank and SSD as the second refund has been declined by SSD Associates because I requested a Paid Up Letter****rue-I did not call or request this) yet Nedbank debited my current account for R3680 and SSD Associates recived their payment of R300 on the 29th of July.
I am taking this further with the consumers act ombudsman.
