Unauthorised debit off account after payment plan put in place

I have been unemployed for 5 months and I eventually get employment. During the time I was unemployed I received phone calls from Nedbank up to 4 phone calls a day requesting money for my credit card. If I have no money coming in how am I able to make a committment to pay my credit card to the full installments required. I explained this numerous times but the call centre agents could not even put on the system that I am unemployed, no notes at all and each and every call I had to explain myself. I made a committment to pay R1000 a month once I got employment. My first pay cheque was paid on Friday (24th February) my first pay cheque that I can actually pay my bills and buy groceries in 5 months. Nedbank goes and debts my accounts for R10 365.25 with no warning or written notice, this cleared my account I am left with R227 in my account. I phoned Nedbank immediately when I was horribly embarrassed that I could not pay for my groceries as it was declined and no sms or notification was sent that all my funds had been removed from my account, I ended up phoning Nedbank 8 times on Sunday to either the call being dropped or being transferred to the wrong department or the Legal department being closed.

Today I phoned, I get told that they are allowed to take up to 80% of funds to be allocated for payment of credit cards. I ask one question however, when you apply for any credit the word affordability comes into play and only a certain percentage of salary can be allocated to debt, so I ask this where do they apply the affordability factor when they clear your account?????????? Surely that is against our constitutional rights. If a payment plan has been put in place what gives them the right to take what they want? I have lodged a complaint and I have been told it can take up to 5 working days to resolve and I must bear in mind the Nedbank does NOT do refunds only after 20 working days can I take this to the ombudsman and that brings us to the next pay cheque so what surprise am I in for next month????

I see Nedbank responds to these complaints but how many of them actually have a satisfactory resolution, why must we be pushed this far to get so called customer service. I am horrified by this and I really feel that Nedbank should not be people first choice of bank. I feel that they have no ethics nor do they even try to assist their clients.
