Unable to access my money
I spend a lot of time overseas. I use Nedbank's internet banking service to manage my life in South Africa.

Nedbank insists on using a cellphone number to transmit a one-time pin whenever certain transactions are made. This means that my current cellphone number needs to be on their system for me to be able to do online banking. Nedbank insists on a branch visit to change phone numbers, which means that I need to come in to a branch at the start and end of my visits to South Africa, first to set up my local phone number, then to switch back to my overseas phone number.

This has always been an inconvenience. Now, however, after my second branch visit in February to set up the overseas number again, and after subsequently leaving the country, I have discovered that the change never happened. After a days-long back and forth with the bank, branch manager Jessica van Niekerk has suddenly stated that they cannot put an overseas number on my account.

This is clearly incorrect, as this has worked before (with the exact same number) and they have promised me that the number was changed at my most recent branch visit. Now I am out of the country and cannot access my money.
