Tumble, Rumble, Fumble ...

I recently consolidated a personal loan and received excellent service at Nedbank's Brooklyn branch. I confirmed that the first installment would go off when my December salary is paid and the staff member reminded me that we typically receive a sms requesting us to indicate when the installment should go off in December. I received this sms and indicated 15 December as my preferred date. In early December I received a call from the call centre (as well as a sms) indicating that my personal loan is overdue. I have to admit, I lost my cool when the overdue word was used. I also received an sms that the insurance on this loan would be canceled because of the continued non-payment of the loan. After a fairly heated conversation, I received an sms indicating that the first installment would go off on 14 December and thereafter for five months. This information is incorrect because the duration of the loan is 12 months. But here is the most disappointing part. The first installment went off in early December and if my records are not updated, I believe I will pay a second installment on 14 December. I need assistance to address this matter because it seems as if the admin system is not up to date.

Sipho saved the day. I did not hear from Client Service Support again and phoned the call centre where Sipho confirmed that a second installment will not go off. Thanks to Sipho. Poor (no) service delivery from Client Service Support.
