Totall disgusted in Nedbank Loans Dept
I was referred to Nedbank Personal Loans by Nedbank Home Loans as I wanted to take a loan to consolidate my debt. I spoke to a consultant from the call centre on Friday 10th and went through all the credit checks and was then informed that I qualify for a much higher loan but I only wanted enough to cover my debt. He went through the interest rate and instalments offered I said it was fine but the insurance could I possible supply them with my insurance he said yes but I needed to send a copy and my I.D. and payslip. This was already after 4pm so I told him to email me the quote which was valid for 5 working days and I would then email my docs as soon as I got them from the insurance company. This I did at 8am on Tuesday the 14th. Still well in the time limit of the quote. I then get a call from the consultant telling me that he has received the documents and we can know proceed with the contract. He then confirmed the amount of the loan the term and the instalment. When he mentioned the instalment I said no that is not what was quoted then he said the computer has generated another quote at an interest rate of 5.5% more that what was quoted for 2 working days later. No no no that is not the agreement. How can you tell me one thing send me confirmation and I accept by sending the docs required before the 5 working days are up and then I suddenly get told that my instalment is 5.5% more than we had agreed on. This is **************** looks to me like Nedbank rope their customers in by offering them one deal and when you hooked in they drop the bomb shell. This is very ********* instead of helping customers you stab them in the back. When I insisted speaking to a manager I was told that it is infact 5 normal days and not working days I pointed out that I was still in time. Then she said that it had to do with my details on the payslip was different to what they had punched in but at the end of the day the net pay is still the same so I can't understand the difference. At the end of the day you look at what a person goes home with not what their gross is, you just need to know that the person can afford to pay the loan and I qualified. I am very very disgusted in the way that Nedbank has managed this loan and I think they are the biggest con artists ever. I am even sorry that we bank with them and have a home loan with them. I am seriously considering approaching Capitec Bank looks like Nedbank don't need customers.
