Total Disinterest
In 2000 a pamphlet was enclosed with my Nedbank statement, exhorting me to take additional hospital cover through their Nedbank Hospital plan - claiming would be easy and rapid they trumpeted!. What misrepresentation! I should have been warned by the hoops required to jump through when I claimed 4 years ago that claiming would be discouraged. This time I used the call centre on the cert. which transpired was in the Philippines. I was told no claim forms were required a claim number was issued and I was told what documents to send, Sadly I was unable to understand the email address because of the Filipino accent, and found the underwriters of the policy AIG and their SA number - they sent me forms asking the most ridiculous questions making claiming almost impossible. I wish to adhere to the requirements outlined by the Filipino centre and expect Nedbank, who issued the policy, regardless of who underwrote it, to honour these. It is called a NEDBANK HOSPITAL CASH PLAN, and I do not care that they selected a failed company that had to be bailed out by the Federal Reserve as underwriters. Their name is on the policy - do the ethical thing Nedbank and pay the claim. <br>
