Three weeks ago, my kitchen nearly burnt down when my stove caught fire. I immediately contacted Nedbank Insurance to log a claim. To my shock, I was informed that my policy had been cancelled in July 2025 due to non-payment.

I queried this, as the insurance policy is linked to my bond, and my bond account is fully up to date. I was then told that my husband had allegedly called and requested that the insurance premiums be paid monthly. I advised them that this was highly unlikely, as my husband does not handle or have knowledge of insurance matters.

I requested to speak to a manager, but this request was denied. I then asked for the call recording of the alleged call made by my husband. To date, this recording has not been provided. When I followed up, I was told a different version — that my husband did not call them, but that they called him instead. Despite this claim, no call recording has been shared as proof.

I was further advised that an email had been sent to my husband. However, the email was only sent while I was actively on the call with them, not prior to that conversation.

To date, I am still awaiting the call recording or any concrete proof to substantiate their claims.
