They think they above the law

At the end of 2004 I took out a loan for about R3500, I paid the account until there was a balance of R1750. I then called nedbank and informed them that I was unemployed and that my cheque account was closed and then proceeded to give them new banking details in which they should put the debit order through. Every month with out fail for about 7 months I called and informed them that the debit order had not been put through by them< they would tell me not to worry as it would go through the next month. eventually I told them I was not going to beg them to pay them back and was rather rude to them. About 2 months later a sheriff of the court came and told me I had a judgement against me for the loan and I now owed them more than R8000. I was listed at the credit bureau for 5 years. I called Nedbank and enquired about the amount and they said it was because they had being putting the debit order to my cheque account and it repeatedly had been returned, when I informed them that it was against the law to put through a debit order more than twicethey said the would recitfy it and call me in 2 days. Nobody called me and when I called back I was told that nobody had spoken to me and made any such promise. Immediatetly after this 5 year period I was called by various debt collecting companies and when I explained the situation to them they never called again. Nedbank then proceeded to put my name back on the credit bureau in 2015 stating that I had stopped paying the account in May 2015. Again they went against the law and put *****elant information on record. I now receive many sms's from various attorneys in connection with this.
