They are contravening the NCR and consumer Act
I took out two loans in 2010 at nedbank. Both loans had an interest rate of 21.5%. In 2015 I went under debt review. On loan account *** I borrowed an amount of R120000 in 2010. Today I still owe R84 344.89. Just from 2015 to date I have paid R87 246.96. I paid the loan for 8 years now. I am only paying interest and the main amount does not come down. When I went under debt review they never brought the interest down. It remained at 21.5%. I am of the opinion that the account is in duplum or that I have overpaid that loan already.
The other loan *** is exactly the same like above facts. Interest are at 21.5% even after debt review. My loan amount was plus minus R50000. To date I paid R61 366.08 since 2015. I still owe R47496.32 I also paid this loan from 2010.
I have send them a complaint on 19 July 2019. Up until today I got no response. They send my account from section to section and team leader to team leader then senior manager. It's been more then a month since I complained with no response.
I feel I have already paid those accounts. You cant pay interest for 8 years straight They must write off that debt and if overpaid pay back my money I owed them. They are failing to comply with the NCR and consumer Act.
