They allowed my money to get ****** via a *****ulent debit order

On the 29th of April 2025 my money was debited from my account *****ulent. I went to Nedbank in Clearwater the next day which was the 30th of April, they said I must call the ***** department with my own phone so I did. The ***** department said I should get an open a police report and send them a copy of an affidavit and they could proceed. Frustrated to just to get get further assistance I drove all the way to Nedbank in Sandton to which the manager told me the same day thing as the ***** department, which was to open a police report and get affidavit. It was already late at that point so I couldn’t go back after I opened a case and got the affidavit like they instructed me to, the whole process took me about 2 hours of my time to complete. They wouldn’t assist me in the next day as it was a public holiday so I could only go back on the 2nd with everything they asked me to get. I did however, call the ***** department the same day after hours and they said again to obtain the affidavit and other documents needed for assistance, which I already had at the time and reverted that they would assist me on the 2nd when it wasn’t a public a holiday. When I went back on the 2nd the ***** department completely changed script on me, they told me that the people which was their department gave me the wrong information and that it was my fault for giving a company that I don’t know my information and that’s why they were able to debit my R21 000 ********ly. When I tried to explain that they didn’t give it the company any of my information they gave me a round around passing me from department to department. Nobody wanted to listen to me, nobody wanted to help me. They just didn’t care, they even told me that I’m on debt review or something and that they didn’t know what transpired between me and the company that stole my money. I tried to explain that I didn’t speak to anyone, that I don’t even know the company but they blamed me and were unwilling to assist me. So if anyone can come into your personal account, ***** your money be it eft, debit order or whatever the case might be and the bank doesn’t want to assist. They allow anyone to ***** from customers. Are we really safe? Nedbank allowed a company to ***** from me and blamed me for giving them my information which I did not I even opened a police report and they still did nothing about it. This is not a safe bank for anyone. I am going to close my account with this horrible bank, and it’s useless staff and ***** department, that don’t know what they doing, that make customers into fools by giving them false information and wasting valuable time. I’m gonna open with ABSA apparently they a much safer bank, so I’d rather give them a try. By allowing this blatant theft to take place, I’m now behind with my homeloan and other debts, but I’ll finish paying them off and hopefully the police will assist, alternatively I would have to go through an emotionally and mentally draining process of court proceedings. Don’t bank with Nedbank, if you want your money safe or if you at least want it returned, don’t count on them, you on your own….its a whole ******** operation and they not going to help.
