The Rewards Program without Rewards

Went through the process of booking an Avis car for a trip, got the reference number. According to the Avis site the booking was 3 days, from 19h00 Thurs to 16h00 Sunday and I was to use the reference number and book a 3 day weekend rate on the Greenbacks site. Greenback redemption was done smoothly on the system but the next day I got an SMS to say insufficient data was captured and the booking must be recaptured. Booking was redone with all fields completed, next day same SMS. Made a call to the call center, ref ***5 was told would have a reply within 2 days. 4 days no reply, made another call, was told the booking would have to be split as Thurs was a week day. Was told a manual booking would be done. I am flying today and was told this morning that the weekend rate would have to be booked at the mid week rate because it could not be split. AVIS STATES ON MY CONFIRMATION \WEEKEND RATES ARE VALID FROM THURS 12H00 TO MONDAY 23H59 IN ALL REGIONS
