The 'new' **** digital bank - Nedbank - False advertising as a digital bank with failing online platforms and *********** staff.

I recently opened a RA with Nedgroup investments. With opening the account you are given access to the online investment platform in order to monitor your investment performance. This i completed on the 24 Feb 2020 in which they had debited my account and confirmed the profile is working when calling the contact centre. To this day now this online platform does not work. The feedback obtained is that the customer care does not know what is wrong with my profile as they say they see it is working fine. Now after follow up from the 24 Feb i am ignored and no further action is taken to resolve my query.

If this bank wants to portray themselves as a digital bank then they need to hire and retain competent staff in order to ensure customers are given the right working access. The 9 th March I've spent 1 hour on the phone transferred 7 times and nobody is able to assist or resolve my query. One response received is that 'They do not know where my funds are' as they do not see it on the platform using my profile and ID number. Hence i do not know if they still have my investment money or what has happen to it to date.

This is very poor service and i do understand now why i cancelled my bank account and moved to FNB for the last 9 years i have not needed to walk into a branch or needed to call the bank due to any platform deficiencies.

This is definitely not the bank for persons below 65 as they are not a digital bank. Rather they are a walk in bank where you are forced to sit with an elderly customer agent who squints at the screen when trying to look for 'how many' zeros should appear on your statement.

Quite disappointing and worrying as Nedbank regard themselves as one of the 'big 4' banks. This entire email thread from this bank will be posted on social media in order to warn young innocent trendy clients to save themselves the frustration of dealing with this dinosaur called Nedbank.

Shocked and concerned new client.

Best, M
