The incompetence at Nedbank is simply unbecoming
To say that I am tired at this point would be an understatement.
I app**** for a Garage Card online towards the middle of November 2020. I was then advised that my application could not be located. I then visited the Nedbank branch at N1 City to do a physical application. My card was only delivered a month later.
In March 2021, it was confirmed that my card was in arrears because it wasn't linked to my cheque account (which makes zero sense) and therefore the monthly fee wasn't processed. After much irritation and fighting, I was helped via the call centre, the card was linked, and I was advised by a teller at the St George's Branch to pay the amount owing via online banking or the app, using the Garage Card number. I linked my Garage Card on the online banking platform and did EXACTLY as advised.
Today, 29/04/2021, I was advised that the funds I paid towards my Garage Card had somehow miraculously entered the wrong account and that I have to contact the recipient and advise them to reverse the transaction.
Not only is this incompetence to the Nth degree, but Nedbank has also compromised this client's details, as they have provided me with not only his full name and contact number, but also his bank account number, instead of them sorting out the mess that they helped create and calling the client themselves in order to rectify the situation.
Oh, and the kicker - they STILL can't tell me how to pay my Garage Card, given that the card number is linked to someone's else's account.
MAKE IT MAKE SENSE, PLEASE! ABEG!
