The "Home Affairs" of banks!

Absolutely appalled with the level of service received from undoubtably South Africa's worst bank. I made my mistake when I went into the Sandton branch end of April and spoke to Smangaliso Ntshangase. I wanted to get a credit card for my business account. I was told it would be a Visa card. When eventually the credit card was opened and I went to the branch to collect, I found that the account had been opened in my name not my business' name, the card was mastercard not visa and I had had an American Express card ordered in my name too! I declined to accept any of these cards and was assured that Smangaliso Ntshangase would sort this mess out. He did not. I emailed to find out the status and received notification that Smangaliso Ntshangase was on leave for a month. My business cannot sit and wait for Smangaliso Ntshangase to get back from a month's leave before I am able to use a credit card to pay bills! I closed my account with Nedbank and moved accross to FNB - INFINITELY better experience (Thank you Smangaliso Ntshangase for being so utterly useless and thus introducing me to FNB). When I closed my Nedbank account down I was assured ALL accounts were closed. They were not - the credit card account was left open! A month later I received a statement for the credit card. It had not been closed! I went into the branch demanding it be closed as per my instructions. I received a reference number and was assured it would be closed in a few days. It was not! I received another statement a month later. I called the "help" center. They put me through to the Sandton branch. I was assured the account would be closed in the next few days. It was not! I have received my THIRD monthly statement. CLOSE THE FREAKING ACCOUNT ALREADY!!! I NEVER COLLECTED THE CARD I WILL NEVER USE THE ACCOUNT WHY IS IT STILL OPEN!!!!? My next step is to lodge a complaint with the banking ombudsman. Utterly disgusted with this pathetic excuse for a bank.
