The client request/complaint negligence in that place is ********.
Last year August 3rd I went to Mall of Africa with my friends for movies after getting paid. Before we could start anywhere I went to the Nedbank ATM to withdraw some money for home and pay my other friend the money she lent me a few weeks back. So as I was at the ATM I had a problem with the machine, and a guy dressed like one of the Nedbank consultants came to me and offered to assist me instead (till this day I dont know how or what happened and I still dont know why my friend left my side lol) the guy stole me card and somehow he saw my pin and he had completely jammed the machine. I tried to look for him, nowhere to be found. So I immediately pulled out my phone so I can block my card only to find that I'm out of airtime but I saw two police officers by the escalators and I rushed to them crying, I explain to them what happened and I do and one of them give me his phone to call the bank which I do. And the guy I spoke to there assured me that my card was blocked, sigh of relief right?? Wrong! After that phone call I check my online banking and I see that son of b*** has already withdrew 5000 bucks which was my daily limit. My heart sank a lil but I was relieved that hey, at least he can't do anymore harm to me and my finances anymore. FF>> to later when I got home, something tells me to call Nedbank again. I text my sister who was at work and ask her to connect me Nedbank call center which she does, so now I'm speaking to some lady and you won't believe what she tells me, she tells me that my card is still active!! I nearly had a stroke and a heart attack combined. And I ask her how is this possible cause u had blocked this card at 4pm in the afternoon when I called earlier and it is now 9pm in the evening. So now I am angry and emotional, I tell her to close this damn card already. Which she said did. I hang up fuming, I call again a minute later and ask of the status of my card and the guy I'm talking to says its closed, so meaning the lady had really closed it. And I open a case number with the guy and he tells me I need to go to a branch to put this case in motion. The next morning I hed straight to Festival Mall branch, I get this really nice lady (she was nice though I can give her that) she assists me with opening the case and she tells me that this ***** didn't just take the 5000 only, after withdrawing that he tried withdrawing again after the times I had initially "blocked " the card, he couldn't withdraw cause daily limit. Then ma guy went shopping spree with my hard earned salary, all because some idiot said he blocked my card in which he didn't. This guy went swiping up at spar tops 2000 bucks, then grocery shopping at pnp another 3700 gone! And 15 minutes I called again to speak to that consultant lady and blocking my card he swiped at some unknown place another 350. All I was left with was R97.00 on my account. As she was counting all this I felt a panic attack getting to me and tears just ran down. So I ask her like *** did that guy block at 4pm??? All of this could have been avoided!! Easily! Aii she then told me that she's not sure about the initial 5000 that was withdrawn, she doesn't think I will be refunded that one but the other ones its Nedbank fault they went through. I as a customer had done my part by calling and blocking the card but they didn't for whatever reason.
So since last year I have been waiting for my money to be refunded back to me, instead I got one call from their investigators asking **** that is already stated in my statements. Statement from mall security and statement from the bank. Telling me its my fault, I compromised my pin and I'm like TF!! I called your consultants to block my card and they chose not to do for whatever reason, perhaps it was an inside job how do I know??? Till today, they are still investigating their "negligence " they dont want to give me my money back. So much money gone before I could even spend it myself. ! I am still hurt and frustrated, is there something that I can still do? I have called and called and revisited the branch but still these people are chilled.
