The bank that takes and doesn't communicate

I was unemployed and went into arrears but have religiously made my payments plus what I could afford.
I received money from my medical aid which liquidated and have been paying accounts with the highest interest rates so I can pay additional to my other accounts to reduce arrears. Trying to be responsble.

I received a lovely surprise from Nedbank just taking money off my account. While I understand this and communicated this to the call centre agent they seem to think people are stupid. I told the agent I have a payment I need to make and need half the money reimbursed and understand the arrears I'm not an idiot.

It would seem a good credit record in the past is not factored and we keep feeding these cash ***s and the more you get the more they take. I wonder why people who do try get shot down and people that don't pay period seem to plod along. I have been told that the best option is debt counselling and then you don't deal with the collections departments and pay half the amount however I prefer to pay the maximum I can but the service is shocking.
