Taking money from my UIF funds

Good day... I have a personal loan with Nedbank and have been retrenched recently. I went into a branch and submitted all my required documents for insurance purposes. I then got a confirmation via SMS saying that my insurance claim has been submitted and will be finalized within 3 weeks. I've in the meantime receive a UIF payment of R3800 but my account was debited with the full loan amount of R1750 which now left me with half the money. I went into the branch and spent over an hour on the phone with their collections department who then transferred me to the insurance department and who then told me very rudely that I'm still liable for that money, which I do know, but I explained to him that the money taken from my bank account is UIF funds meant to give you some relief when you're UNEMPLOYED. He couldnt care less. I really would just like for them to reimburse me with the money they deducted as I'm a single mother with no income at the moment and really needed that money urgently and still does. Please help! I must also just put it out there that Fatima Thompson at Nedbank Tygervalley is always a big help and such a nice person! Always goes the extra mile for me since day 1!
