Suspected *****ulent Activity

For the first time in 25+years, I was embarrassed, when using my Nedbank Visa Private Client card as the payment was declined. For the record, my card payment goes off by debit order at the beginning of the month and within 24 hours it's reflected and I am able to transact on my card, After my card was declined I phoned Private Client Services at 16h20 on 06/062026 and explained the situation to Jocelyn the consultant. Her replies gave me the impression that they weren't correct which made me suspect ***** on my account. I requested a reference number to the call (ref ***) only to find out the next day when I again called Nedbank, that this reference number did not exist. This time, on 0703/2026 at 13h45, I think the consultant's name was Nedu, this individual was very helpful and mentioned that the debit order was not yet reflecting on my card but had gone through to the bank on 03/03/2026. Further questioning by myself made the consultant reveal to me that I still operate a current account with Nedbank. I IMMEDIATELY DENIED THIS AS I HAVE NOT HAD AN ACTIVE CURRENT ACCOUNT WITH NEDBANK FOR AT LEAST 15 YEARS, when I decided to move a different financial institution, leaving only my Visa card active. How is it possible that an account that was closed more than 15 years ago is now suddenly active. I TAKE THIS AS BEING INTERNAL *****ULENT ACTIVITY. (The reference number he gave me for my call was ***) Please be aware that I refuse to download or operate any banking Apps on my mobile phone as my phone is not a means of conducting business.

I expect my payment to be reflected on my card immediately so as to enable me to transact on my card.

A letter of apology for this inconvenience is expected from Nedbank and that this has not effected my creditability with Nedbank.
