Students, dont get a study loan from them!!!

<p>I would like to share my experience with Nedbank, the aim is to help future students not make the same mistakes.</p> <p>If you do not have the funds to study and you are contemplating a study loan, for your financial well-being, piece of mind and future credit rating, NEVER do this through Nedbank.</p> <p>In the first place, they will lose your docs, and will request the same ones back about three or four times.</p> <p>I waited over nine months, since the time I gave everything requested for a loan, (could not buy books, loaned other money for registration fees).</p> <p>I promise you will not find worse service even at home affairs or at the licensing offices.</p> <p>The biggest issue, is that when you are done you need to start paying back obviously, however there is a grace period of 6 months, which they will NOT let you know about, they will wait for it to lapse, then phone and say you are in arrears and payment needs to be immediate.</p> <p>My personal experience then:</p> <p> I phoned, in a state of panic, to make an arrangement, their agent was so helpful and friendly, I thought I had the wrong number at first!</p> <p>Made an arrangement and this was all of course over recorded lines, and I started paying it back.</p> <p>What they do NOT tell you is that those “arrangements” are only valid for a certain time. They will also expect a student to pay back premiums of around 4000 (Monthly)!</p> <p>3 months after the arrangement lapsed, *(which I had no idea about) they phoned and said you are being blacklisted for the full amount.</p> <p>They will then, even if you are still a REGISTERED student, force you to sign liquid documents and AOD’s, so they can approach the court for judgement against you without letting you know.</p> <p>You as a student will start your career with massive debt, lawyers constantly hounding you, a shot credit score, and judgments against you, all because of their failure to disclose certain information and on top of that not taking responsibility for their agents, even when working under supervision.</p> <p>I am not the only one who has had these issues, Please share and help others, for their own sake, Im already *****ed but others can maybe learn from this,</p>
