Stressed Physical and Mentally, Dissappointed and Still without my car after 2 months. Nedbanck insurance does not communicate!!! or Resolve Claims

Claim Number:*** Laura I had a very serious vehicle accident on 27 Feb 2025, and my insurance ompany nedbank was informed immediately. The vehicle was towed to Renew-It Randburg on that day. I was contacted by Notmbi from the the Nedbacnk Claims Department on 3 March to advise that she would be assisting to with the claim. During the time I asked all the relevant questions as to how the claim would work. I even asked for a list of panel beaters that I could consider, as Renew-It did not have good reviews. I did not receive the list from Nedbank and then without advising me, the car was authorized by the assessor to moved to a panelbeater in alberton. When I called to get an update on my claim, then I wasa advise of this and then still not given a choice of the panelbeater I wanted to use the vehicle was allocated back to Renew-It. The claim was authorized around 20 March 2025 to the value of approx R118 000 when the strip was done on the 13 March 2025 After the strip the repair value moved to approx R182 000 on 25 March 2025. By then it was almost a month since the accident. I was not advised ny Nedbank of the new repair amount until I called the callcentre to follow up. My car hire was only for 30 days, and by 19 April 2025, the repairs was still not near complete, and I still had to appeal to Nedbank to extend the car, as at that time Renew-It was giving a completion date of 30 April 2025. Nedbank only extended the car hire until 27 April 2025. The car repairs was not completed on the 30 April 2025. I was then told by the panelbeater that that car would be ready on 2 May 2025 at 2pm. When I arrived at the Renew-It the tyres was not put onto the car and at 3pm they sent the car to Tyger Wheel an tyre. I ask for the 80 point and diagnostic check from VW and they did not have it. At that point, I was advised the the repairs was now over R300 000. Which I was never advised about before this. When the car arrived back, the following was found: 1. The drvie door panel that was replaced was dented. 2. There was scratch marks on the inside door panels 3. The panels did not align to the car bonnet 4, There were chips on the paintwork at the foot of the door 3, The bumper trim that they said the replaced had the same scratch marks as indetified when the vehicle was stripped, which probably means they did not replace it. 5. There are stone chips on the headlights and other trims on the car 6. The leather seat that was re-upholstered has crease in the leather. 7. This is all I could see to my untrained eye.

I called Nedbank to advise that the panelbeater did not have my car ready and that there was still a pasrt on back order on 2 May and Bernita advised I could note what was not done and take then pay the excess and take my car. Then deal with the defects later. The staff of Renew-It was so rude to me and just kept on saying the don't know what to do. This car had 1500km's on it on the day of the accident and air bags deployed during the acccident and the costs of repairs is now over 50% and counting. To date I still have not spoken to my claims consultant Thabo and the communication with Nedbank was been so poor, I keep being pushed from pillar to post, Nedbank says phone the panelbeater and the panelbeater says phone Nedbank. I have asked on numerous occassions to speak to the assessor and he never contacted me. I been without my brand new car for more than 2 months now and I am still making car payments and insurance payments for a car I don't have. I have suffered physical and mental stress to point where my Dr has put me on prescription meds. I do not have a car to get to work, which is where I earn my source of income. I don't know what to do anymore, even after lodging a complaint with nedbank complaints I have received no communication from them.
