Stop messing me around!!

<p>Early 2016 my account was handed over from GL Attorneys to NRR without notification while I was still paying GL. Earlier this year I started getting the "Sherriff" texts from NRR. Not knowing what it's all about I gave them a call. They inform me that I have not paid my account for the past 9months. Comparing bank details, I am also informed that I have been paying into the wrong account. This is rather obvious as I had no idea the account was taken over by a different company. I was asked to send through all proof of payments (which I did) and was given new banking details. The next time I spoke to them I was told that the payments cannot be found and I should contact GL Attorneys. GL then sends me a statement of all the payments I made which I then forward to NRR along with the proof of payments again. Then they call and tell me they still can't find the payments and I should contact/go to FNB and query where these payments are. I contact FNB and they say they can't help me as the account was handed over. OK!...back to NRR. The statement and proof of payments have been sent to NRR numerous times. From Feb to now and it's nearly August. They still expect me to pay every month (which I do) but they can't give me a statement of the outstanding balance with the payments to GL. What if I'm paying more than I owe. I'm scared getting the overpaid money back is going to be even more difficult!! This account is the only thing on my record and I can't move forward because of it. I'm living in a shack with my kids and can't get a home loan because NRR seem to be messing me around. Please help???!!!!</p>
