Stop Employing Apartheid Merchants Nedbank!

Opened a Private account with Nedbank in the hopes of moving over my salary as MFC hold my vehicle finance. Nedbank assigns a private banker by the name of Danie from Cradlestone Branch.

When he finally calls me I thought I would get a warm welcome, instead he immediately starts berating me about my past financial difficulties, brining up historically written off debt to vindicate and financially exploit me, only to tell me he doesn't even know how the account was opened and should be closed immediately.

Danie the private banker then decides on his own accord that he will raid my newly opened account and grabbed the money I deposited for activation towards this old debt.

I would not recommend Nedbank to anyone especially if you are not born during apartheid. They employ older people like Danie that benefited from apartheid policies and have no issues with infantilizing customers who don't have it as easy as they did.

IN MY OPINION: Nedbank should get rid of anyone with an old South African mindset and employee forward thinking born frees! It would be the best bank in South Africa...

If you are young, consider using a different bank. Nedbank is for old people.
