Step payment ripoff!!!
I am very disappointed with Nedbank homeloans. I got approved for a bond and got registered on the 5th. Before this I had asked when would my 1st installment be due. I was told the 15th of the following month since ( I opted for the 15th as my debit order date)
Surprisingly I got a message in the 14th of the same month reminding me of a debit order to take place the next day. I called the bank and was still told it would be the following month.
When I signed for the mortgage I had opted for step payment plan. Non of their consultants know how this works.
The debit order got unpaid as I was not ready for it because of the information given to me. I started receiving threatening messages from Nedbank. I lodged a complaint which was assigned to a specialist (Meshack Sibitlo)
I discovered that there's so many hidden clauses on the step payment which their personnel don't know about.
They asked me to make an arrangement on the missed payment which I asked if they would bill interest on because it was their fault not mine. They rep**** "Yes" I asked them to waiver it which they refused.
I requested to be moved from step payment which the Specialist advised could be done provided my account was up to date. I settled the arrears and asked him to send me an exact quote on a standard payment of which he stopped replying my emails since.
All I can say is Step payment from Nedbank is a huge *******. It is done through MFC which car finance. The repayment amount is way more, it's more like you pay for a car you don't have for the 1st 5 years and only start paying your bond on year 6. That is why I am not being ignored when I want to switch to standard homeloan.
I find this ********* and a total ripoff
Too many hidden terms which people don't know about or rather not told about. Up till now the specialist has ignored me coz they know am being **********. How do I pay for a car I don't have for a good 5 years!
