Statement charge *******

I cannot begin to express my disappointment in being conned by Nedbank into changing from Capitec. Last week I went into the Bluff branch to request 3 months bank statements. I was first asked if I wanted them stamped – is this not the norm? Then I was handed a slip to sign – I asked what this was for and was told I had to sign it to obtain the statement. I then asked if I was being charged, and was told “yes, R15 per statement page” – which to me was an A4 size page. After voicing my opinion about R15 per page being excessive, I was advised it was “per statement page, not per page” which translated means, per “section” (ie about R45 per A4 page). I was HORRIFIED. I have NEVER paid for bank statements EVER!!! Not at FNB or Capitec. About 10 min later, and a lot of shuffling around on my account, I was handed a pile of papers, which apparently amounted to R107 – FOR BANK STATEMENTS??? Come on Nedbank, it’s a personal account for a bottom feeder, not a business account for Donald Trump. With the profits you make from issuing bank statements on a daily basis, you would think the staff would have the decency to respond to email queries – please refer to my complaint regarding your loans department.

Best regards,
I guess there is no solution as I am yet to receive a response, and as long as people continue to use your bank, you will continue to charge exorbitantly.....

Hi Cody
Apologies for missing your calls. Thank you for continually trying and for straightening out the matter. Moving forward I understand to rather print my own statements and take them to the bank if a stamp is required.
I applaud you striving to ensure great customer service.
Thank you again
