STAFF CAPITALISING ON LOAD SHEDDING
Saturday (7th Feb 2014) we went to Nedbank to open an account. We were informed that accounts can only be opened for clients who arrive before 11H00 since they close at 12h00, luckily we were on time. We filled the register and joined the queue. After waiting for over an hour a sales consultant said that they don't open accounts after 12h00 and she was told that we arrived before time. She checked the register and realized that we were telling the truth after that, strangely the lights just went off and we were told that there was load shedding. What surprised me is that the computers, ATM and even robots on the nearby street were functional. After being heard enquiring about this a very rude lady came and said that they were using back up and it could only take about 15 minutes which is not enough to open the account. We went out only to discover that there was no load shedding at all. While waiting to be attended to the child became restless and I had to leave the queue to attend to the child, the security guard told me that I was causing chaos at the bank and I should have left the child at home.
