Spoilt Holiday - Money wronglyfully debited from my account AGAIN!!

Since i had purchased my home with Nedbank in 2010 i have paid a portion of our bond vis Salary stop order and my husband paid his portion via salary stop. in October 2016 i changed jobs and was not able to do a salary stop order with my new company. In the beginning of October i physically went into the branch (MutualPark) advising them of the change in job and that i would have to arrange a debit order with my portion of the bond going forward, they then advised i would need to chat to the Homeloans department so they can do the change which i did and everything was sorted.

So for the months of Nov- Jan my prtion of the bond payment was being deducted on the 25th of each month up until Feb 2017 when the bank deducted the full portion of the bond out of my account. On the 27th Feb 2017 i walked into the branch (Fores****- Cape Town) and once again they advised i needed to contact the Homeloans department to query, i was on the phone with Homelaons for approximately 1hr15min spoke to the call centre agent named Devan Naidoo who firstly advised that Mutualpark unfortunately captured the information correcty and that i would need to write a letter to the bank asking them to put the money back into my account which i refused to do and said i expect the money to be in my account immediately as i still had debit orders that needed to be deducted on the 1st and i will not be held liable for bank charges when my account goes into a negative, i told Devan that it was not my fault the money was wrongfully deducted from my account so they need to ensure that the money is returned immediately. Devan put me on hold for about 30min as he needed to check with his manager if they were able to action this for the same day. When he returned to the call he confirmed that his manager advised the money will be returned to my account that same day and that the error was fixed and ONLY the portion that i needed to pay will be deducted going forward. He apologiesed for the error once again and advised that he could also see on the system that my husbands portion is being deducted as a stop order each month so he couldnt understand why Nedbank had deducted the full amount from my account. The money was then returned to my account on the same day (27th Feb 2017).

On the 20 March i went abroad on my first overseas holiday to celebrate my 10th Wedding anniversary. My husband paid for the flights and accomodation and i was responsible for the spending money.

On the 27th march when i logged onto my internet bank i was SHOCKED to see that i had almost nothing in my account as NEDBANK once again deducted the full amount for the bond from my account!! I was extremly emtionally, angry and frustrated in a foreign counrty (Thailand) I arrived on the Saturday and planned our boat trips and entertainment but was unable to fullfill any of my plans as i had NO MONEY in my account!!!! I had no money to buy me food, i got sick and had to borrow money to go to the Dr ( i have the reciept to prove this) how embarressing this was for me! i basically had to sit in my hotel room and watch movies for the duration of my stay sipping on the bottled water that the hotel provided me and fruit ! (NOT FAIR)

We returned home on Sunday night 2nd April, i went immediately into the branch in CanalWalk yesterday 3rd April and was assisted by Michele Lents who called Homeloans to try and resolve. Michele was advised by the call centre agent, firstly that they cannot deduct a bond amount from two different accounts ( how is this even possible to stae when i have been doing it for the past 6 years since we bought our house and the fact that from November 2016-Jan2017 my portion of the bond was deducted off my account without any hassel!!) And Secondly i was advised by Devan Naidoo the month before that the error had been resolved!!! The call centre agent that Michele was laising with could not give her a proper answer and basically advised her that they cannot pay the money into my account immediately (even though she advised them that the same thing happend last month and they returned the money on the same day) and that they will PHONE me back within 3-4 working days (not even contact me back to confirm the money will be in my account but merely just "call me back"!!! THIS IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!! My debit orders was deducted from my account on the 1st April and my account is now in minus, i would like to know who will now be held responsible for these charges???!!!!!

I expect to be compensated for my holiday that ended up a complete DISASTER AND WASTE OF TIME AND MY MONEY OR I WILL REFER THIS MATTER TO THE OMBUDSMAN!!!

I am highly dissapointed in the service received from NEDBANK and will be looking to move my bond and accounts as well as my husbands accounts to another Bank one that is more reliable!
