Simplest tasks / requests are met with difficulty / sheer inability to do

Good day,

On 06 November 2016 the ATM at Northgate Shopping Centre retained the card, I contacted the card cancellation centre and was advised that it was due to the account being inactive. The account is definitely not inactive which is clear due to transactions occurring regularly, in the last couple of weeks alone there have been multiple transactions that include cash withdrawals and card swipes. I visited the Sunninghill branch earlier today to collect the cheque card (I had to re-order a few weeks ago and once again did not receive the notification due to system not updating contact details), which apparently has been blocked and another one needs to be ordered, the card was destroyed in the branch at my request. I also had to change the primary contact number for at least the fourth time this year since the system keeps defaulting to my old number. I have now received a temporary card again that also can’t be used for online purchases. I also wanted to change the fee structure on my account, and once again a banker was not available and my contact details were taken along with a copy of my ID card, this will also be at least the fourth attempt at doing this simple task this year also. I was also told that a new card can’t be ordered until the change in fee structure has been completed, which makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. I have also been waiting since 05 October for somebody to contact me regarding reinstatement of my Greenbacks. I haven’t used the Nedbank account as my primary account for years (since the ineptness of the Melrose Arch branch to ensure my business account could be used for a simple task like internet banking when I opened it in 2007…) and incidents like these validate that decision as the most basic, simplest tasks / requests are met with difficulty / sheer inability to do.

Regards

Bianca
