Shocking service from Nedbank Life

I contacted Nedbank Insurance at the beginning of July 2017 in regards this policy as I wanted to cancel the cover. I was told by your call center that I needed to go into the nearest branch and do it from there as it was not possible to do it over the phone. I took time off work and went to WestGate branch. I arrived early and had all my documentation and was referred to someone to help. Help is not what I received. I can honestly say that Nedbank should start giving out blood pressure tests for free because after 5 minutes with your representative who just simply told me that she cannot help and I should call the call center from one of the phones in the branch. Not, “let me try, let me see, come with me or wait here let me find out!” nothing “No I cant check I cant help you !” I Unfortunately don’t have names because generally when I go to a bank I go there to be helped nit to take down every persons name I deal with. I will however from this point do that.

I need to get this resolved and biting my tongue I went and spoke to the call center and you guessed it…. Send me back to speak to the branch….. During this conversation I was told by the call center that there is a cash value to this policy and they would request the information from the actuaries and would let me know. That was on the 7th of July I believe. I was then helped by a gentlemen from Old mutual who actually wanted to help me.

I was told to wait for 7 days.

I have called the call center now a number of times and each time I get told “The amounts have not been updated as yet!” and this has continued. During a telephone conversation on the 19th of July I asked to speak to a manager or who ever is in charge cause I simply could not take the poor service anymore. After holding for almost 10 minutes I hung up because it was clear no one wanted to speak to me!

This cannot take this long to sort out. I need to know what the cash value is so that I can decide what to do. In the mean time I am going to have to pay anther installment on a policy that I don’t need!... and expensive policy!

I have since then send them a detailed email regarding the problem to their client services email address and to date ... nothing ... nada ..... niks

The service is absolutely shocking ! I am very very disappointed in how this has been handled

To think that this division of Nedbank is still in existance with this level of service is mind boggling
